Pay tuition

When the school issues an invoice for one of your children it appears under Tuition on your Family page, with the child's name, the fee and period, the amount and the due date. The line above the list adds up what is due. Payment history opens the invoices you have already paid.

Invoice states

• Open: due and unpaid. Overdue means the due date has passed.
• Processing: a bank payment the bank has accepted but not yet settled. It usually clears within a few business days; you cannot pay it again.
• Paid: settled, with how it was paid and the date. Refunded means the school returned the payment.

Pay online

1. Choose Pay on an open invoice. The app opens Stripe's secure checkout page in the same tab, showing the school's name, the fee and the amount.
2. Enter your card, or bank account details when the school offers bank debit. Stripe handles the payment; the school and Maktab never see your card number.
3. You return to Family with a Payment received message. Card payments show as Paid within a minute; bank debits show as Processing until they settle.

Closing the checkout page or choosing its back link cancels the payment and the invoice stays open. A checkout link is valid for 30 minutes; choosing Pay again after that starts a fresh one. Each invoice is paid on its own; there is no basket.

If `Pay` is not shown

The school has not set up online payments, or has paused them. The Tuition line says Pay at the school office. When you pay at the office, the school records the payment and the invoice shows as Paid with Cash, Check or Other.
